E-commerce Testing for Baby & Maternity Products Platform in Qatar

Overview

The customer runs an online store in Qatar that sells high-end items for babies and moms. People can quickly look at goods, place orders, and get their packages thanks to the platform.

In the background, the app links to a lot of different systems. For this reason, the client wanted to make sure everything worked well before letting people use it. They worked with Testvox to check out the app right away and make sure it was always safe to shop.

Challenges

  • How a Complex System Is Connected ERP, CMS, order management, search engine, middleware, and payment channel were some of the systems that had to work together to make the platform work. On all of the systems, it was hard to keep the product information, stock, and orders right.
  • People Find it Easy to Shop The site had a lot of things for sale, as well as a lot of deals and ways to shop. It had to be made sure that search, browsing, adding things to the basket, and checking out all worked properly.
  • Need QA Help Right Away On the first day of development, the client asked for experienced e-commerce QA engineers right away. Plus, they were looking for someone to test the app with and help them make changes as the platform grows.

Our Solution

A professional QA team was sent by Testvox to check the platform and make sure everything worked well on the website, mobile apps, and other platforms.

  1. Integrity testing for the system
  2. We checked how information moved between Axanta (ERP), Occtoo (middleware), Sanity (CMS), Commerce Layer (OMS), TypeSense (search), and MyFatoorah (payments). This made sure that orders, goods, and stock all stayed in sync.

  3. Checking the inventory and stock list
  4. We made sure that the shopfront showed the latest stock of the products. We also checked the number of items in stock, the details of the items, and the hierarchy of the groups.

  5. Look at the content and the SEO
  6. We checked out the home page, the goods pages, the shopping cart, and the blogs. Some SEO things we looked at were page names, URLs, and how well search engines can find the site.

  7. Trying out Search and Browsing
  8. We checked the search function to make sure customers could quickly find what they were looking for. It was also made sure that the filters, sorting, and pages could be moved around.

  9. Deals, Shopping Cart, and Checkout
  10. We put things in the cart, used coupons, and finished the checkout process. We also looked at different types of deals and discounts.

  11. Sign in, place an order, and get phone apps
  12. We tried how to sign up for an account, log in, create a wish list, and keep track of orders. Not only that, but we also made sure that payments and returns went smoothly on the website and in the Android and iOS apps.
