End-to-End HR Management Software Testing

Overview

Klockmate is a platform for managing your staff that helps businesses with their HR chores. It can keep track of attendance, schedule jobs, handle vacations, recognise faces, and set up payroll, among other things. So teams that work from home or in the office can use it. It works on both web apps and mobile apps.

The people who worked on Klockmate knew they had to test the product well before it came out to make sure everything worked as it should. They didn’t have a QA team in-house, so they hired Testvox to check the platform and make sure it was ready for real users.

Challenges

  • Lack of an in-house testing team Last time Klockmate was being built, there wasn't a separate QA team. Some of the most important parts that hadn't been fully tried were live tracking, monitoring attendance, and scheduling shifts.
  • Not a planned way to test The group didn't have a place to test, the right tools, or test cases. This made it hard to tell if the platform was safe or where issues would happen.
  • Need for Tests by Experts Before Launch Klockmate needed testers who already knew how to use the platform and could quickly check it on the web, Android, and iOS to make sure everything worked. The start date was coming up soon.

Our Solution

Testvox set up a clear testing method and went through the platform step by step.

  1. How to Set Up a Good Way to Test
  2. We went over the product needs and organised the test cases. The client learned about new developments and problems every day, which helped them understand how things were going.

  3. Testing on the web and on phones
  4. The app was checked out on the web, on Android, on iOS, and on the mobile web. There were more than 25 modules that were tried. Some of them were shift management, attendance, geo-fencing, location monitoring, and reports.

  5. Functional and Integration Testing
  6. We did a review of the usability of all our features and how the different components work as a unit. Through this analysis, we found and documented approximately one hundred thirty problems, many of which ended in serious failures of the system.

  7. The right kind of testing environment
  8. The tests were carried out in a setting that was very similar to the real production situation. This meant that the results showed how the platform would work for real users.

Result

More Stable Platform

Because more than 130 bugs were fixed, the software is now more stable on both the web and mobile devices.

The Best Ways to Do HR Work

We fully tried and confirmed important modules like reporting, managing shifts, and taking attendance to make sure the data was correct and the system worked well.

Ongoing Support for QA

Testvox and Klockmate kept working together after the first round of testing. They used a dedicated QA approach to make sure the quality stays good as the platform grows.

Final Thoughts

Testvox gave Klockmate more trust when it launched its HR platform. Doing the right tests on the system helped find issues quickly and made sure it worked well on all devices. You can now use the software to help businesses manage their workers because it is more stable.
