Overview

The client operates a well-known Indian dating site that provides live audio and video connections between users. The service is primarily used for social interaction and entertainment; therefore, it provides access to 24-hour live recordings in the users’ primary languages.

The client intended to confirm the app would function appropriately, particularly concerning both payments and general user experience, before launching in Bangladesh. To achieve this, they partnered with Testvox for crowdsourced testing.

Challenges

  • Payment and Transaction Issues The client needed to make sure users in Bangladesh could complete payments without problems. This included in-app purchases, Google Play transactions, and local payment methods like bank cards and wallets. OTP verification for both app and bank transactions also had to work smoothly.
  • Localization and User Experience In order to be able to use a mobile application naturally as a Bengali-speaking individual, it must be tested to check whether or not the features of that application, such as the ability to successfully navigate through the app, how easy it is to get started using the app, and the ease of making purchases within the app reflect the behaviour and expectations of users in the local geographical area.

Testvox engaged in using its crowdsourced testing network to test the app under real-world conditions in Bangladesh with its actual users.

The QA testers we used in the tests are actual QA testers from Bangladesh who already understand how to effectively test for the local market, and the knowledge these testers provided us with was invaluable in locating actual issues for the app which may have otherwise gone undetected via global testing.

  4. All payment methods available to users were tested, including through the use of traditional bank cards, local payment methods, and payments made via Google Play. Additionally, for security purposes, we provided thorough testing of the OTP flow.
