The Scrum Master’s role in a start up project is to assess the teams scrum knowledge, understand the product owners vision , to initiate strict practices if team members work for the first time together, we have to set up a team norms that should be work timings, mode of communication and leave announcements. Finally arrange a meeting with the Product owner and scrum team members to share the goal of the Product.
