I evaluate the system’s scaling characteristics by adjusting compute, DB, and service tiers
independently.
Horizontal scaling is validated by adding nodes/pods and observing linearity in throughput.
Vertical scaling is analysed by increasing instance size and monitoring diminishing returns.
Bottleneck components, cache size limits, and shared DB constraints often dictate the true
scalability model.
