A Smooth Learning Experience for an Interactive Learning App

Overview

L-earnings is a learning app designed to create interactive/playful ways for students to study. Some features of the platform include SmartPlay live events, scoreboards of scores displayed in real time, as well as quizzes and practice sessions which provide students with gamification/challenge based means to learn.

They were able to partner with Testvox for functional/usability testing to ensure that all devices that l-earnings supports will perform as expected since the number of users continues to grow at their startup.

Challenges

  • Need for QA Support That Can Change The team needed QA resources that could grow with their project needs because L-earnings was still in its early phases. They needed a testing crew that could work directly with them and change resources as needed.
  • There isn't a structured QA process. The startup still didn't have a clear way to test things. There was a chance of bugs getting through, the app quality being inconsistent, and delays during releases if there were no established QA methods.
  • Concerns about scalability and budget Managing costs was vital for a new business. They sought a QA partner who could do dependable testing and also offer a flexible way to work together that fit their budget.

Our Solution

Testvox gave us a dedicated QA team that did all the functional and usability testing for the mobile app and the admin panel.

  1. SmartPlay Testing

    2. In terms of challenges having four levels with multiple-choice format based on time constraints we validated all of the different testing points to ensure users travelled through tests correctly by awarding them and scoring them appropriately.

  2. Daily Quiz Testing

    3. We verified proper functioning of the Daily Quiz Feature based on its 24 hour time limit in addition to ensuring that users could not return to utilize after their 24 hour time period ended.

  3. Elimination Testing

    4. Elimination Rounds which consists of the various phases of users through testing based on how well they perform. We verified proper handling of ties and winners being awarded correctly.

  4. Payment System Utilizing Razorpay Integration

    5. We tested the ability of customers to safely deposit money into their Virtual Wallet via UPI Payments, credit card and online banking using all Razorpay integrations in conjunction with existing payment / wallet systems.

  5. Admin Module

    6. We validated the Admin Dashboard functionality for users who administer Quizzes, remove users from quizzes, or award prizes based on their completion. Testing verified accuracy/reliability of all backend operational aspects.

  6. Agent Module

    7. This module allows tracking of Referrals and providing Agents with commissions/awards for their efforts. We made sure that the tracking of referrals and the calculation of bonuses worked appropriately by testing them.

Better Learning Time

The site now makes it easy to take quizzes, make payments, and get updates on the scoreboard in real time. People can easily use the app on any device without any problems.

Reliable Backend Work

The admin panel works perfectly, letting admins run contests, give away prizes, and exclude people without making any mistakes. This made everyday work more reliable and efficient.

Final Thoughts

L-earnings was able to make their learning platform better and more reliable because Testvox took care of the testing. Structured testing helped get rid of issues, make the software easier to use, and make sure it worked well.
