How can we promote a quality-focused culture that fosters collaboration among QA, development, and other teams?

As a team, we often find that QA and developers aren’t on the same page. This happens because we tend to view them as separate from each other, and communication between them is lacking. I’ve learned from my experience that everyone working on the same project should be considered part of the team. This includes project managers, business analysts, developers, and QAs. When we see ourselves as one team, we’re more likely to move in the same direction. Another issue is that we often overlook QAs in meetings, such as walkthroughs with business analysts. Similarly, developers or product owners may be absent during test case review meetings. To improve our processes, I believe we need more training. Workshops on topics like RDLC, Agile, and other processes can strengthen our skills not only in QA and development but also in project management and delivery. The more we learn, the stronger our team will become.

To foster a culture of quality and collaboration:

1. Promote a shared ownership of quality across teams.
2. Encourage regular cross-functional meetings and discussions.
3. Invest in training and skill development for all team members.
4. Establish clear quality metrics and objectives.
5. Recognize and reward collaborative efforts that improve quality.
